Ali was not only a three time world heavyweight champion, he was a defender of Civil Rights, a world megastar who transcended his sport, a husband and father. During one of the most turbulent times in American history, Muhammad Ali emerged as a champion of his people and arguably the most recognizable face on the planet. Simply put, he was "The Greatest".
